Hans-Peter Frank

Hans-Peter Frank, (1937) is a German-born pianist, violist, and conductor who spent most of his performing career in Germany and Sweden. He graduated from K.M. von Weber - College as pianist, violist, and conductor. During his studying was a special prizewinner of Schumann competition, performed as a soloist with K. Mazur. Was an assistant-conductor of K.Mazur and O.Suitner. He has worked with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, was from 1980 the principal and artistic conductor of the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra until 1990. Hans-Peter Frank as well as the present honorary conductor George Alexander Albrecht, has headed the Staatskapelle of Weimar from 1996 to 2002. He has also served as a deputy artistic director of K. Zanderling‘s orchestra. Lately, he has combined his activity at Staatskapelle of Weimar with Berlin Symphony Orchestra and Bolshoi Theatre.
