Harish Sharma (born 5 October 1963 ) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and author. His better known film 2 Nights in Soul Valley and his debut book I am not Guilty:Kasab.[1]
Early life[edit]
Harish Sharma was born and brought up in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India, and gave 20 years of his life to cricket. He did his schooling at the Sports College, Lucknow and post-graduation from Pithoragarh.[2]
Career[edit]
Harish Sharma first started as a reporter with Hindi newspaper Aaj and then moved to Dainik Bhaskar, from there he moved on to news agency Press Trust of India.[2] Then he moved on to start is media consultancy firm into Press Relation H. S, Communication (P) Ltd. in the year 1996, having offices in Delhi and Mumbai, It was one of the biggest firms of that time, with working on Music Labels like Tips, HMV Saregama, Sony Music India. In this time he also had done PR for hit movies like Murder, Godmother, Company, Mission Kashmir, Josh, Humraaz and many more, he had also done PR for celebrities like Kailash Kher, Hard Kaur, Neha Kakkar, Claudia Ciesla, among others. He headed towards direction in the year 2011 and released his debut film 2 Nights in Soul Valley staring Hemant Pandey in the year 2012. In 2015 he shut down operations of H.S. Communication (P) Ltd. stating that he wanted to focus full-time into being an author. After a lot of thought into writing his first book, he did a massive launch of his first book I am Not Guilty: Kasab in the year 2017. His two other books 20 years in entertainment PR and No Ball 2 Crore, is due for release this year and next year respectively.[3] As of 2020 he has again joined hands with Narvijay Yadav of Spectrum PR to start a blogs network called blogs wire in this venture he is being helped by Iha Sharma and his nephew Akshat Gaur, which can release any news articles on to 100 news portals currently.[4][5]
Films[edit]
His first feature film as a director was 2 Nights in Soul Valley, which released in the year 2012. The film was made on fairly low budget of INR 1 Crore.[6]

He is married to Indian entertainment reporter, Meenakshi Sharma. He has one daughter with her, Iha Sharma[5]
