Harkirat Singh Paras (Birth Name: Harkirat Singh) is an engineer, internet marketer, Youtuber, and photographer.[1] He is known for content creation at companies including REIT, Amritsar College of Engineering & technology, and Babaji Namkeen.[2]
Early Life[edit]
Paras was born on 22 December 1995 to a sikh family in Amritsar, Punjab. He did his schooling in Amritsar from two different schools. He completed his primary education from Jagat Jyoti Public School and higher secondary education from Sant Singh sukha singh Khalsa Senior Secondary School. [3] He got his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology[4]. During his graduation, he was the student head & Head of the cultural Society that conducts Freshers and Tech-fests.[5]
Singing[edit]
As a singer and musician, Harkirat Singh is Master of Arts in Music (M.A. Music).[6][7] Harkirat Singh has performed in Golden Temple, Sri Hazur Sahib, and Gurdwara Nanak Jhira Sahib.[8]
Career[edit]
Harkirat Singh started understanding his family Business when he was 13 years old. He started his career as Social Media Marketer at Babaji Namkeen in 2015. Later he got a part time job at Amritsar Group of Colleges as Digital Marketer. As per official details, he worked in various companies .[7][2]
Currently Harkirat Singh is Director of Gurparas Enterprise Private Limited, a family business in Amritsar, Punjab[9]. Gurparas owns businesses across Asia and engaged in Manufacturing and Digital Consultancy servcies.[10]
Scientific Research[edit]
Harkirat Singh is doing research on biodiesel from last 5 Years. Paras has published several research papers in various reputed journals like Wiley Digital Library, The Research Journal and Proceedings of Imperial College, London[11]. His latest research paper is published in American Institute of Chemical Engineers Journals (AICHE) as a part of Wiley Digital Library[12].
Paris executed his research in a Renewable Energy Lab, sponsored by Department of Science & Technology (Government of India) under his Guide Dr. Amit Sarin[13]. In Renewable Energy Lab, he along with his friend Navneet Singh Hans did research on various forms of edible and non edible oils to produce biodiesel as an Green alternatie to conventional fossil fuels.[14]
Harkirat Singh Paras and his co-researcher Navneet Singh Hans collected the waste mustard oil from sweet shops and filtered it by using filter paper. Then they synthesized Mustard Methyl Ester from the waste mustard oil that was literally tended to go to gutters if they did not buy it.[15] Harkirat has worked on various oils and other synthetic substances that could derive a green fuel.[16]
Harkirat Singh Paras is said to be working on Bio-Materials made up of Titanium using Electric Discharge Machining. EDM Machining is the process of cutting a metal with high accuracy and safety for any conductive metal. [17]
