Hassan & Roshaan is a Pakistani pop music duo/band, based in Lahore, Pakistan, that creates contemporary subcontinental music. The duo includes Hassan Sheikh and Roshaan Sherwani. They are known for their track, "Doobne De (Reprise)," part of the Marvel Studios’ miniseries, Ms. Marvel.[1]

Description[edit]

The members of this duo include Hassan Sheikh and Roshaan Sherwani. Their focus is on contemporary subcontinental music. The duo first performed together at Lahore Music Meet in 2020. Their first song was "Allah Hu," written and composed by Hassan.

Hassan & Roshaan released their debut album, "Chaar Dinon Ka Khwaab", in 2020, with 18 tracks. This album included their popular track, "Doobne De" which became a part of Ms. Marvel.[2][3][4][5]As of September 2024, they have released two albums, the second one, "Day 5," was released in November 2023.

In 2022, the duo released "Sukoon" in collaboration with Shae Gill.[6] With five million streams, it earned them a spot in Spotify’s Top Local Artists of 2022. The Indian label, T-Series, placed an offer to buy "Sukoon," however, they declined.[7] The song also became the OST of a Pakistani TV serial of the same name.[8][9] They also collaborated with Quratulain Baloch (QB) for their song, "Bandhan" in 2023.[10]

They have also performed at HUM TV Bridal Couture Week. Additionally, Hassan & Roshaan have worked for the government of Pakistan and ISPR.[11]

The Pakistani pop music duo is managed by Nael Hafeez.[12]

Members[edit]

Both Hassan and Roshaan are graduates of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). When the duo first got together, they were in the second year at LUMS. Hassan in the main vocalist and Roshaan is responsible for the music production.

Nominations and recognition[edit]

The duo was nominated for a Lux Style Awards 2020 in the category of best emerging talent.[14][15][1] Their song, "Sukoon" was nominated in the category of Most Streamed Songs Of The Year in Lux Style Awards 2023.[16]

Hassan & Roshaan were featured on BBC's Asian Network in a chat with Kan D Man. [17]
