Hidden Empire Film Group is an independently owned, African-American production studio, based in Northern California, that produces a wide range of content over various multimedia platforms and is distributed worldwide. The company was founded by Deon Taylor (writer, director and producer) and Roxanne Avent (producer).

Hidden Empire Film Group has produced several films and television series including a 2016 American comedy film, Meet the Blacks, starring Mike Epps, Gary Owen, Zulay Henao, Lil Duval, Bresha Webb, George Lopez, Mike Tyson, Lavell Crawford, Paul Mooney and King Bach. In its opening weekend, Meet the Blacks grossed $4.1 million, finishing 8th at the box office; ultimately going on to make $9.1 million in theaters nationwide.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Hidden Empire Film Group is also the studio behind the making of Supremacy starring Joe Anderson, Dawn Olivieri, Danny Glover and Derek Luke.[7][8][9] Supremacy won the Best Diaspora Feature at the 2014 African Movie Academy Awards. Other major motion pictures produced by HEFG include Chain Letter,Dead Tone, The Hustle, Kicks and Free Agents

Nite Tales: The Series was created after Nite Tales: The Movie due to the success of its airing. Episodes were shot in one day on a 35 millimeter camera and budgeted around $20,000 – $50,000. The series was later aired on WGN in Chicago, Illinois on Friday nights at midnight in 2009. Nite Tales: The Movie was released on DVD in 2008 with a DVD release of the series pending in the future. Taylor partnered with Jamie Foxx to co-direct a future national television release titled Tommy's Little Girl.[10]
