Hiran Abeysekera is a graduate of Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in acting a professional actor with English Touring Theater in United Kingdom.[1][2]
Early life and education[edit]
Hiran was educated at Nalanda College Colombo and was highly involved with English drama while at school. He is a graduate of Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in United Kingdom.[3]
Theater[edit]
Abeysekera entered Sri Lankan English theater by playing the role of Alan Strang of Equus presented by British Council in Colombo.[4]
He also has played the role of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet in English drama directed by Scott Richards and presented by British Council. A few of his Sinhala dramas were Sanda Langa Maranaya, playing role of "Moon", and also the role of "Boy of 17" in stage play Oyai Mai Thaniyama.
Equus also adjudged the Best Actor at the University of Colombo Short-Drama Festival in 2006.
