History Mapping

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Video Mapping, or just Mapping, is a concept of creating maps in an animated projection. The general concept started in 2008,when a youtuber named MervueMeringue created the first mapping video, but it was EmperorTigerstar created the first Video Mapping video in 2009. It sparked a new realm of hobbies and jobs, and lately Mapping has gotten more detailed in research, and style.

Idea[edit]

The first recorded video mapper was EmperorTigerstar with his first video being the Napoleonic Wars. Since then, Tigerstar's videos have gotten outdated, but is still the most popular mapper today.

Researching[edit]

Research is the key thing in Video Mapping. It leads to accuracy and share. Without it, the video will be inaccurate and unpopular. Good sites to use are Native Sources for the idea you are including, and accurate sites that have reliable proof. Using inaccurate sources will result in hate and blame, so try to use sources that you trust.

Animation[edit]

Animation is also a key concept in mapping because that's what it's made up of. Without it, it would just be a map...and that's it. The frames are known as slides, put together in a fast motion. Tracing is not Acceptable. Not a map or screenshot of a video map. Copyright, and disrespect will follow the actions of this doing. Self Research and Responsibility is what makes mapping to its best.

Editing[edit]

Editing is what wraps the whole process up. It draws attention to the viewers and lets them know how good you are at video mapping as a whole. Here are a list of things you should add while editing:

  • Side Bar
  • Year
  • Events
  • Color Filters
  • Smooth Translation from Each Slide
