History of rugby union matches between England and Japan

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

England and Japan have played each other at rugby union on two occasions, with England winning both. They met in the inaugural Rugby World Cup and Autumn internationals.[1]

England and Japan first met in Pool 1 of the 1987 Rugby World Cup, which England won in a one-way contest. They did not meet again until the Autumn of 2018, when Japan fought back to a half-time lead at Twickenham, but England responded to win comfortably in the second half.

After the 2019 Rugby World Cup, England are to return to Japan to play a two-match test series.
