InSession, Inc.[1] is an American, cloud-based, mobile-ready, mental health enterprise based in New York City.[2] The company provides practice management software for health and wellness professionals that streamline the business side of private practice and makes virtual care a reality for an unlimited number of mental health practitioners and their clients.
The founders of InSession[3] started as traditional graphic designers[4], then became website developers which inturn segued into app development[5]. Eventually, InSession returned to web development focusing on a software as a service (SaaS) in the field of mental health.
Currently, the company offers a website, practice software, and marketing for therapists.

While developing websites from 1998 through 2010 the founders of InSession became increasingly aware of the number of Mental Health practitioners that were approaching them for website services. Alice Shepard, Ph.D., a long-standing client, was repeatedly referring colleagues to InSession as her practice had grown from a solo practice to group practice in 3 years[6]. After several iterations of the business model, in 2016 InSession was launched using a mix of proprietary and open-source software.

The company offers website building[7], hosting, and software as a service (SaaS), allowing users to develop and change webpages using pre-built website templates with drag-and-drop elements. Additionally, for more specialized customers, they provide entirely custom website design solutions as well as highly focused search engine optimization (SEO), marketing, and practice management software.
The websites of Kennedy Counseling Collective[8], McNeer Group[9], and Intuitive Pathways[10] were created with InSession software.
