Cobwebs Technologies is an artificial intelligence company based in New York.[3][4][5] Cobwebs is better known for developing and implementing AI-powered Web Intelligence (WEBINT) solutions for the national security, law enforcement, financial services and corporate security to extract deep web data, identify connections, criminal activities, and cyber threats.[6][7][8] The company was the recipient of the Global Technology Innovation Award 2019.[9]

History

Cobwebs Technologies was founded by Udi Levy, Omri Timlanker and Shay Attias[10] in 2015 and has sales and support offices in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The company is headquartered in New York, with regional offices in Singapore, Germany, Israel and Great Britain[11].[3] According to Calcalist, as of March 2019, the company has raised $10M in funding rounds led by an unspecified U.S.-based hedge fund.[12]

Services

Cobwebs products work as a search engine that gather data from the Internet and is capable of gathering both public and concealed information that has not been indexed or classified by conventional search engines like Google.[7][3] It collects and analyzes the web’s layers of surface web, social media networks[13], deep & dark web data to detect insights and connect leads from online open sources using AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms.[14][15]

Notably, during the Hurricane Harvey in 2017, the company's tools helped identify people in need of urgent help.[16] With COVID-19 pandemic, the Cobwebs platform tracks help requests and people in close contact with patients. Also the company is working with five governments to help track the spread of COVID-19.[17]

Partnerships
