Indian Achievers Awards are given by Indian Achievers Forum[1] founded in the year 2000 in recognition of the forum's members for excellent performance in their respective fields, through two categories: the Indian Achievers Awards and Global Achievers Awards.

History

Indian Achievers’ Forum was founded in 2000 by Sunil Shastri,[2] the son of Lal Bahadur Shastri, ex-Prime Minister of India. It is a partnership of business, political, professional, and other representatives of the Indian community to define and discuss key issues on the Indian economic agenda.

Advisory Board

Sunil Shastri, the son of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, ex-Prime Minister of India, is the president. He is a former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and ex-Cabinet Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Harish Chandra[3] is executive director and editor of "The Achievers World" and "CSR Times". S. Ravi Shankar is the secretary of Achievers World. Many renowned dignitaries include Shri Santosh Gangwar[4], Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Govt. of India; General Dr. V.K. Singh[5], Union Minister of State for Road, Transport and Highways; G. Kishan Reddy,[6] Minister of State for Home Affairs, Govt. of India; H.E. Mr. Hamza Yahia Cherif, Ambassador, Embassy of Algeria, New Delhi[7].

In support of its mission, Indian Achievers’ Forum delivers programs that enhance technical and business skills. It gathers and analyzes information on emerging trends impacting the industry’s future. It acts like a two-way bridge between the business opportunities in India and investors from foreign countries. The Indian Achievers’ Forum also creates investment opportunities for Indian and foreign investors through tie-ups with different chambers of commerce.

"Achievers’ World" is a quarterly English publication with pan-India outreach. "Travel Turtle[9]" magazine is a resource of news, analysis, and features on subjects discerning the travel industry.
