Indian Space Shuttle Programme

The Indian Space Shuttle Programme was a conceptual idea to design an indigenous Reusable Space Vehicle.[when?][1][needs update]
In the end of 1980s and beginning of 1990s India had plans to develop a small Space Shuttle named Hyperplane that would be orbited by non-reusable launchers.[citation needed]
Then plans differed to the project Avatar (spacecraft) as a single-stage system. The Indian Space Research Organisation indicates that this vehicle is planned for development after 2010.[1][2]
In parallel, India has a more realistic and currently working programme of manned spaceflights from 2014 to 2015 with non-reusable conventional spacecraft Orbital Vehicle launched by non-reusable launcher GSLV.[citation needed]
In 2011, ISRO gave more details on its shuttle programme.[3]
