Rointe is part of Industrias Royal Termic, SL, a Spanish based consumer electrical goods firm headquartered in Santomera, Murcia. The company is privately held, with manufacturing taking place at its headquarters in Spain, a 25,000 m2 facility purposely built for the company. It designs, manufactures and sells electric heating appliances like cast aluminium radiators, steel heated towel rails, domestic hot water heating systems and underfloor heating, along with various controls and thermostats.

As of 2020, the company sells its products to the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Russia and Spain using a network of electrical wholesalers and installers. The company was originally founded by Jose Dengra, who retired in May 2019, replaced by the group chief executive officer and his son, Antonio Dengra.

The company was founded in 1985 and established on 2 August 1997[1] as a small electric heating manufacturer run as a family business. In 2007 it was acquired by Grupo Holdenmur SL and by 5 January 2009, the company established a UK branch.[2].

The company trading name, Rointe, is an acronym that consists of the company initials when written in Spanish (Royal Industrias Termic).
