Insilico TechServices
Insilico TechServices Private Limited, commonly referred to as Insilico, is an "end-to-end specialized VLSI, Embedded Design & Software services and solutions company."[1] Founded in June 2017[2] by Sudipto Das,[3] Parag Bhatnagar, Minakshi Sharma[4] and Syed Imran Ali,[5] it has registered offices at Bangalore and San Diego.
Insilico was selected in the top 10 among 3000+ startups in India for the ELECRAMA[6] Startup Awards 2018,[7] given to "the most disruptive and potentially game changing start-ups in the ecosystem that directly impact the Electrical and Electronics sector".[8] Insilico showcased its "Smart Lighting Solution for Power Saving"[1] in ELECRAMA 2018.[9] "Working on making India Smarter in terms of utilizing the power", the motto behind Smart Lighting is "Save & Be Safe" and "Light & Enlight".[10]
Name & Logo[edit]
Insilico is a Latin word meaning "in silicon", alluding to the company's operations predominantly in the semiconductor industry. The artistic "n" of the logo derives from the organic shape extracted from the letter “S” and that of the sand dunes, the natural source of silicon. The shape evokes the sense of movement and flow of information.[11]
Business Lines[edit]
Insilico coined the term VSR - Viable Social Responsibility -, in contrast to CSR, in the context of its "commitment towards delivering socially, financially and environmentally inclusive impactful solutions".[9]
Service Line[edit]
As a proof of concept of its VSR business model, Insilico has created the Service Line catering to the "products that empower the world of Communication, Networking, CPU/Servers, Automobile, Bio-Medicals, Consumer Electronics and a wide range of IOTs".[1]
Solutions Line[edit]
Insilico's Service Line is meant to generate the cash required to sustain its socially impactful Solutions Line,[4] whose vision is to work on "a completely indigenous smart solution to save power...".[5] Smart Lighting is the outcome of Insilico's initiatives in the Solutions Line.
