Inter Burini are a fictional Italian football team in the British comic universe. The team have appeared in the We are United strip of Champ in 1985. It was also called simply Burini. The club’s name could be reference to Inter Milano.
History
In 84/85 Inter Burini won the Serie A and Coppa Italia hitting a double. Inter Burini is described as a crack Italian in Champ in 1985, aiming at winning the 1986 European Cup having bolstered its squad with England’s big bustling centre-forward Mark Hateley and young forward Johnny King from Riverton United Burini (for £1 million). And when United sold the big Northern Irish big striker Johnny King’s to Burini a challenge game between the two teams was part of the deal, while Joe Pearson used the money to sign out-of-contract Kevin Nicklish from Southpool. Burini played in European Cup in 85/86 (also Southpool were playing).
