The International Society for Porous Media (also known as InterPore) is a major international, independent, non-profit scientific organization for researchers in the broad field of porous media and adjacent disciplines. The society was established in 2008 by a group of scientists from France, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, and the United States of America.[1][2] Nowadays, InterPore's membership includes residents of all continents, other than Antarctica. The society organizes an annual meeting that occurs in a different location each year. The meeting attracts about thousand attendees from academia, industry, and governmental research institutions. The 14th annual meeting (InterPore 2022) will be hosted by the China University of Petroleum (East China) in Qingdao, China.[3]
