BMUCO

Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". BMUCO is a student-led science organisation founded in 2017 that aims to promote scientific education and research around the world with special emphasis on developing countries like Nepal and India.[1]

Mathematician Yang-Hui He and Theoretical Physicist Neil Lambert are currently the honorary advisors to BMUCO.[2][3]

BMUCO maintains a collaboration with Queen's University Belfast, School of Maths and Physics.

Programmes/Activities[edit]

BMUCO has conducted online talks with scientists around the world. This includes Harvard Physicist Avi Loeb,[4][5] Mathematical Physicist Yang-Hui He,[6] Theoretical Physicist Neil Lambert[7][8][9] and NASA's Roger Hunter.[10][11]

BMUCO also co-hosted an online talk with Sir Roger Penrose on the occasion of his 90th birthday.[12][13]

BMUCO has held over 30 science outreach activities across different schools in India and Nepal.[14]

In 2021, BMUCO organised an Annual Climate Conference series where they invited notable speakers including Elizabeth Wathuti, Kevin Trenberth and Helen Adams.[15][16]
