Intouch Solutions is an independently owned, full-service healthcare consulting agency.[1][2] It was founded in 1999 in Kansas City by Faruk Capan, a U.S. entrepreneur of Turkish origin.
Intouch Solutions specializes in pharmaceutical marketing, particularly digital, and in the development and supply of innovative solutions to the pharmaceutical industry and other stakeholders in the sector, such as hospitals, patient associations and healthcare institutions. It pioneered the development of first apps for pharmaceutical sales reps; community portals for patients; and moderation tools for Facebook pages and Twitter accounts for the pharmaceutical world.[3]

Founder Faruk Capan immigrated to the United States from Istanbul, Turkey, in 1990 to pursue a Master of Science in Information Technology[4] and successively a Master in business administration at the University of Central Missouri.[5] After several years in the pharmaceutical industry, in 1999 Capan founded Intouch Solutions in his home, starting with only two employees.[6]
In the years since its formation, the company has undergone rapid development, which has led it to become one of the "Category I" agencies in its sector of reference. The growth was accompanied by the gradual expansion of the offices in the United States, with the opening of offices in Chicago (2008) and New York (2011).
In 2016, Intouch expanded to the European market, opening an office in London, and forming a global joint venture, called Intouch Solutions International,[7][8] with the Italian agency Healthware International.[9]
In 2018, Intouch reorganized under an umbrella network called Intouch Group[10], composed of six affiliates:
- Intouch Solutions — A full-service creative agency
- Intouch Proto — A full-service creative agency and separate legal entity
- Intouch International — A full-service global agency and joint venture with Healthware International
- Intouch Media — A full-service media agency
- Intouch B2D — A technology and production services hub
- Intouch Analytics — A full-service analytics practice
Philanthropy[edit]
Intouch Solutions claims to be active in making donations to numerous pro bono associations. Examples include Kansas City Free Health Clinic; KC Pet Project; the Ronald McDonald House; Children's Mercy Hospital; the patients' association Skin of Steel; and the Children's Skin Disease Foundation. After Hurricane Sandy, the company made a donation of $14,000 to the Red Cross.[11]
On February 22, 2017, Intouch was impacted by an anti-immigrant hate crime that claimed the life of Indian-born Srinivas Kuchibhotla, the husband of Intouch employee Sunayana Dumala. Intouch created a plan to honor Srinivas’ memory, just shy of the one-year anniversary of the incident.
