Intugame is a Virtual Reality company developing tools and applications for VR, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.[1]

The company’s latest product in development is Intugame SDK – a software development kit that allows creators to build VR products and run them using any headset. Prior to that, the company has developed a mobile app for VR streaming called Intugame VR.[2][3][4]

History[edit]

Intugame is founded in September, 2014 by Georgi Georgiev and Krasimir Nikolov, both graduated software developers. They started to develop a mobile app which allows users to play any existing PC game in virtual reality using only their PC, smartphone and a headset of their choice.[5][6][7][8]

Soon after that the company started working on their second project called Intugame SDK - a Software Development Kit for Virtual reality. It follows the model "write once, run anywhere".

Intugame got funded twice by LAUNCHub.[9]

Intugame was the only Bulgarian company on the European VR Ecosystem Map released by Greenlight VR in October, 2015.[10]

In January, 2016 Intugame and Samsung signed a partnership deal.[11] At the same time the Intugame start-up was chosen to take part in Boost VC's Tribe 7 program.[12]

Intugame SDK[edit]

Intugame SDK is a multi-platform VR development tool that allows creators to build their virtual reality app, game or scene once and run it on every wired or wireless VR headset.[citation needed] The headsets include Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, Zeiss’ VR One, PlayStation VR, and many more.[citation needed]

Intugame SDK integrates with the game engines Unity and Unreal.

The first version will be released in Q1 of 2016 and later on it will start supporting even more headsets like the upcoming HTC Vive.

Intugame VR[edit]

Intugame VR allows users to play any PC game in Virtual reality. It uses a smartphone and a Virtual reality headset. The smartphone is inserted in the VR headset and the app streams the game from the PC to the smartphone. The application renders it in stereoscopic 3D. The app also uses the smartphone's sensors to accurately track the head movement.

Intugame VR is available on Google Play and the App Store and it has more than 15,000 active users.[13]
