Career
2011-2016: Early years and Destiny
The band was formed in 2011 as Destiny with Alvin Rozario, Ashish Tiru, Dheeraj Edward, Eddie & Vineet Roy who performed locally in Jharkhand. It went through a line-up change in 2012 with Alvin, Dheeraj & Eddie quitting and James Barla, Nikhil Minz and Nipun Minz joining the band. The new line-up went on to cement their place as an upcoming progressive metal band from Ranchi.
2016-2020: Formation of Iris 13, touring and departures
With passing time, the band members and the musical genre changed within the band due to which they started a side project named Iris 13 in 2016 to experiment with new sounds. The side-project comprised guitarists Asim Anugrah Ekka and James Barla, bassist Nikhil Minz, drummer Nipun Minz and vocalist Vineet Roy and they uploaded their first demo track, Clairvoyant, on SoundCloud in 2016. With a positive response on their first demo track, they closed Destiny and shifted to Iris 13 as a band. In 2017, they also released their second demo track Cosmic Fire which gained a lot of attention in the local metal music scene. They went to tour and perform all across the country in cities like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Diphu, Silchar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, etc and shared the stage with national and international artists. Later on, in early 2020, Nikhil and Nipun left the band.
