Itai Liptz is an Israeli-American entrepreneur, educator, and innovation strategist whose work spans healthcare, education, and technology. He leads cross-disciplinary projects that bring digital solutions to hospitals, schools, and training programs.
Early life and education
Liptz was born in Israel and began studying martial arts at the age of seven. As a teenager, he competed internationally in Muay Thai and went on to win consecutive Z-1 World Championships in 2011 and 2012. He earned a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from The Open University of Israel and later completed an MBA at IE Business School in Madrid.
Career
Liptz began his professional life in finance, launching a firm in 2015 focused on equity trading strategies. As CEO, he oversaw the development of custom trading algorithms that incorporated technical analysis, risk modeling, and real-time event tracking.
Over time, he shifted focus to innovation work in healthcare and education. In the health sector, he has led efforts to apply AI, automation, and data infrastructure to improve diagnostics and streamline care delivery. He works closely with hospitals and public health organizations to implement tools that make care more efficient while preserving the relationship between patients and clinicians.
In education, Liptz has developed strategies to introduce digital learning tools across a wide range of environments—from classroom instruction to clinical training and remote programs. He has partnered with universities, nonprofits, and public agencies to build accessible, easy-to-use platforms that support modern learning needs. His work includes AI tutors, interactive modules, and data dashboards, all aimed at helping educators and learners adapt to a more tech-enabled world.
He has also designed training programs for teachers, administrators, and workplace teams. These sessions have covered topics such as instructional design, digital literacy, and feedback systems, often tailored to help participants share what they’ve learned with others in their organizations.
Liptz has held leadership roles at several institutions, including Entrepreneurs’ Organization San Francisco, Mexem Investments, IE Business School, and The Jewish Agency for Israel.
Writing and mentorship
In addition to his project work, Liptz writes about digital learning, workforce development, and education technology. His articles have appeared in professional publications and are often based on firsthand experience in the field.
He has also worked directly with professionals on job readiness and leadership development, offering guidance on resumes, interviews, and long-term growth strategies.
Beyond his formal roles, Liptz has mentored children with disabilities, using swimming and climbing to build confidence and resilience. These experiences have shaped his broader view of progress as something that grows through consistency, trust, and support.
Personal life
Itai Liptz is now based in California. Outside of his work in healthcare and education, he’s an avid home cook and enjoys hosting gatherings where food, storytelling, and humor come together. He has also performed stand-up comedy and often draws on those skills in teaching and public speaking.
The discipline and focus he developed through martial arts continue to guide his leadership style. Whether working with frontline health professionals or designing digital programs for educators, he aims to build tools that work in the real world—tools that are clear, effective, and genuinely useful to the people who rely on them.
