Jack Jarvis is a serving British Soldier who became the first person to row solo from mainland Europe to mainland North America (2022).
Background and Military Career[edit]
Jack's grandfather passed away on 20th November 2007 as a result of a brain tumour.[1].
United We Conquer[edit]
United We Conquer is Jack's brand for his challenges.
Jack's first challenge for United We Conquer was to run a marathon while carrying a 26kg rowing machine. Jack completed the marathon on Pendle Hill in Burnley in nine hours and thirty minutes, raising £5,000 in the process[2].
Following the completion of the marathon, Jack began training for a world first row across the Atlantic[3].
World First Atlantic Row[edit]
In December 2021, Jack Jarvis, completed a world first solo and unsupported Atlantic Ocean row[4].
During the challenge Jack received support from many high profile individuals, including Sir David Beckham[5], Gary Neville[6], Sir Jonny Wilkinson[7] and Sir Steve Redgrave[8].
The challenged raised more than £63,000 for UK brain tumour charity, brainstrust[9]
