Club career[edit]

Youth[edit]

Early days[edit]

Growing up in a small town in Ludhiana district of Punjab, Jagdeep Singh started liking a ball at his feet and developed his interest in the game, later he joined an academy in Gurudaspur where his youth career kicked off. He then found his way in to the preliminary squad of the FIFA U-17 World Cup squad for India, but could not make a cut in to the final list.[1]

Bengaluru FC U-18[edit]

Despite missing out the U-17 World Cup, Jagdeep found his success in the early 2019 when he was scouted by Naushad Moosa (then head coach of Bengaluru FC B) to the Bengaluru FC's U-18 team while playing in the B.C. Roy Trophy youth tournament.[1]

Bengaluru FC B[edit]

A year later of playing for the U-18s side, he signed a contract for the reserves side of Bengaluru FC and served for one season where he scored a goal in the thirteen games he played.[1]

Rajasthan United[edit]

On 5 August 2022, Jagdeep Singh leaped a step ahead in his career after he signed for the I-League side Rajasthan United FC.[2] He was then selected for the 2022 edition of the Durand Cup[3]

Personal life[edit]

Jagdeep hails from Alipur village, in the district of Ludhiana, Punjab. Coming from a family with farming background and growing up in a farming community, Jagdeep picked up his interest in football and was supported by his parents in his new endeavor. Along with the sweet success, Jagdeep had gone through bitter times after he lost his parental uncle, Karamjit Singh, who backed him the most according to Jagdeep. Ever since those rough times, Jagdeep thinks about his uncle everytime he steps on to the field to play the game he loves.[1]
