Jane Skripnik (Rom:Eugenia Skripnik, born January 18, 1998) is a Moldovan producer, media consultant, social activist based in Los Angeles.[1]

Early life

Jane Skripnik was born and raised in Moldova. She speaks Romanian, Ukrainian, English, Pokuttia–Bukovina dialect, Russian and French languages.[2]

Education

Skripnik graduated from high school in Rîșcani, Moldova, as the valedictorian. She participated and was awarded at 15 National Olympiads, setting a record in Moldova. She received Bronze medal at the National Journalism Olympiad in 2015.[3][4]

In 2015, she received 1st place, and in 2016, she received 3rd place for her sustainability research projects at the International Application of Resources and Energy Fair, organized by the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature.[1]

In 2017, she joined a group of students in condemning former Moldovan president Igor Dodon, a former member of the communist party, for the alleged false rewards given to members of his political party and affiliates after the Baccalaureate exams, advocating for integrity and fairness in the education system.[5]

Skripnik was part of the Best Buddies International, an organization which creates opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2022, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Northwestern University's School of Communication.[6][7]

Career

Skripnik held roles a consultative representative on an advisory board CNE, part of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.[8]

In 2015, she received a USAID grant for a sustainability project she managed and coordinated.[9]

In Moldova, she was a founding member of multiple youth organizations and programs sponsored by the European Union and USAID, working in financing and coordinating youth-led projects, focused on inclusion, women's rights, and social equality, including libraries and community improvement centers. Her social projects were recognized by the Ministry of Education and the EU Embassy in Moldova.[1]

Since 2019, Skripnik interned and worked at startups and tech companies in Chicago and New York in the agency, advertising and partnerships development fields.[10]

In 2023, she coordinated media for the internationally awarded documentary about what it means to be intersex in a binary world "Who I Am Not".[11]

She coordinated artistic and creative projects in Los Angeles. Among them, 3 film projects in the development stages, and the releases of American-Iranian music producer and songwriter Afshin, with Trinidad James, Lindsey Stirling, Rebecca Ferguson, Sid Sriram and others.[1][12]

In 2024, Skripnik served as a jury for The One Club, an international award show that recognizes excellence in advertising.[13]
