Jatomi Fitness is a fitness chain with 37 clubs in Poland, 5 in the Czech Republic, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Thailand, and 4 in Malaysia. Jatomi Fitness has over 150,000 members worldwide, and each club provides core fitness products such as personal training and group fitness classes. Many of the group fitness classes are exclusive to the chain.
The company's mission statement is: "To encourage those connected to us to live a health, active lifestyle. We do this by providing a premium fitness experience through engaging content, fully-equipped facilities, fun-loving and qualified staff, and through market-leading products".
The company's registered office is located in Warsaw, Poland. There is also a regional office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
History
Pure Health and Fitness was founded by James Balfour, Mike Balfour and Tony Cowen. The first club was opened on July 1, 2008 in Blue City Shopping Center in Warsaw, Poland. In 2010, the company entered into the Czech Republic and Romania. This was followed by Turkey, Malaysia and Indonesia in 2012, and Thailand 2015.
In 2013, the Pure Health and Fitness was rebranded to Jatomi Fitness.
Since opening its first club, Jatomi Fitness has received a number of prestigious awards: In 2010 SPF Retailers Award in category "The best fitness chain", in 2012 - Entertainment/leisure retailer of the year 2012, in 2013 - SCF leisure retailer of the year 2013, in 2014 - SCF Leisure & Fitness Retailer of the Year 2014, 'Dobra Marka' (Good brand) and 'Customer service Star'(Gwiazda jakości obsługi), and in 2016 - Tenant of the Year 2016.
In April 2016, the group appointed Trevor Brennan as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ceased trading in Turkey in May, sold its Romanian operation in September, and begun a refurbishment project of its existing estate in the Autumn.
