Jay Kamen
Jay Kamen born in Brooklyn, New York, USA 1953, is known for his work as a writer, director, composer, Picture_editor and Sound editor (filmmaking). After a successful film, video and sound-editing career that spanned 40 years, he established Mission Film, Theatre and Musicworks to develop new musical works for theatre and film. His last film, Not your time, which he wrote, directed and composed, won 3 of 23 film festivals around the world, is currently in development to be made into a Broadway musical. Kamen attended the legendary Fame_(1980_film) school,Performing Arts High School,Manhattan_School_of_Music, New York University Film School and the American_Film_Institute. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Dramatists Guild of America,Writers Guild of America,Motion_Picture_Editors_Guild and the Screen_Actors_Guild. He has won 2 Motion_Picture_Sound_Editors#Golden_Reel_Awards for Sound Editing for The_Hunt_for_Red_October_(film) and Call_to_Glory plus 5 festival awards for writing and directing (Not your time, Stars_in_Shorts and The_Interview.)
