Jedidiah Uduak Peters (born September 22, 1978), professionally known as Tito Da.Fire, is a Nigerian singer, song-writer, producer and rapper whose fusion of modern pop with Afrobeat, World, Reggae and traditional Nigerian Percussive groove called 'Ganta Music' created by him is permeating the Nigerian Music Industry.[1]
Background and early life[edit]
Tito Da.Fire is from Akwa Ibom State in the coastal southern part of Nigeria, but he was born in Ganta City, Nimba County, Liberia. He is a native of Mkpat-Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in the coastal southern part of Nigeria.[2] He had his elementary school in Liberia then relocated to Nigeria in 1990. His late father, Peter Timothy Otons was a Nigerian from Akwa Ibom State in the coastal southern part of Nigeria and a religious minister while his mother, Rebecca Otons, Née Lomothey is from Harper, Liberia. Tito Da.Fire also had his primary school education at National Primary School, Abule-Ijesha in Yaba, Lagos and had his secondary education at Sango-Ota High School, Ijoko road in Sango-Ota Ota, Ogun, Nigeria. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta in Ogun State, and a Masters in Communications Studies from Lagos State University, Ojo in Lagos State. In October 31 2013, he got married to Blessing Ifeanyi Okocha, but the marriage crashed in December 2014. And the union ended in a divorce in July 2018 with a child Ryan Edidiong Peters.[3][4]
Music career[edit]
Tito Da.Fire started singing at the age of 15 as a high school performer and later as a member of Kollotianz group. In his early years, he found a career as a premium Voice-Over artist and singer in the Nigerian Entertainment industry. He has worked with notable artistes like; 9ice, Beenie Man, Wouter Kellermanand other international musicians.[5][6][7][8] His music and entertainment sojourn saw him grace the stages of multinational events, such as; One Lagos Festival, Kennis Music Easter Fiesta, Akwa Ibom and Calabar Festivals.[9][10][11][12]
Entrepreneurship[edit]
Tito Da.Fire runs www.G2MCreatives.com an Advertising Agency that is a member of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) and manages brands with a dedicated team and runs www.grindiinrecords.com an Indie record imprint distributed by "Next Music" South Africa.[13]
