Jennifer Brooke (born August 1963) is an American filmmaker and poet residing in Sag Harbor, NY. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in creative writing at Haverford College.[3] Brooke co-founded Forever Films, Inc. in 2003,[4] to write, direct, and produce films.

Brooke's feature films were both documentaries created with Beatrice Alda:[5] Legs: a big issue in a small town (2016)[1] and Out Late (2008).[2][6]

Out Late received twelve film festival awards, including "Winner Best Documentary" at the Long Island Film Expo[7] and "Winner Best Documentary" at Cinhomo, Spain.[8]

Legs: a big issue in a small town screened at 25 film festivals.[9] The film received multiple awards, including “Official Selection Best Director of Feature Documentary” and “Official Selection Best Feature Documentary” at the Madrid International Film Festival [add citation], the “Audience Award” at the Fine Arts Film Festival,[10] Winner Best Documentary Film at F.A.M.E,[11] and Silver Remi at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.[12]

Published Writing[edit]

Brooke writes poetry and non-fiction and has been published in The Southhampton Review, The East Hampton Star, The Hartskill Review, Stonecoast Review, and RFD Magazine. Brooke is the "Creative Nonfiction Editor" of the Stonecoast Review, a literary arts journal.[13]
