Personal life[edit]
Lyons was born in Pasadena, California to a family of entertainers. Her father is a Flamenco guitarist, her mother a school principal, and grandparents were a Vaudeville team.
She was inspired by her uncle and actor James Best, known for The Dukes of Hazzard, who she starred with in the film The Return of the Killer Shrews. Her love for performing was apparent from a very young age when she would dance for her family while her father played guitar.
Lyons studied dance for 17 years and performed in Europe and China with the Pasadena Civic Ballet Company. Her love for the stage extended into musical theater in high school and college. Soon after, she landed an appearance on the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210 and then a recurring role on NBC’s California Dreams as Joy, the Poetry Girl, a ballet dancer.
Career[edit]
Lyons has had roles in television shows such as Malcolm in the Middle, NCIS, Las Vegas, Monk, General Hospital, Desperate Housewives, and The Steve Harvey Show. She has also had recurring roles as Pam Macy on That '70s Show, as Ariel on the Married... with Children episode The Hood, the Bud & the Kelly: Part 1, and Reagan Lauren Busch on Action. Lyons was on General Hospital as Jennifer Biles, for three episodes in March 2010. Lyons has also been in commercials for Bacardi rum.
Under the name Jen Lyons she models for the Los Angeles–based lingerie company Trashy Lingerie and its web site.[1]
She has also been seen in such films as Can't Hardly Wait, Devil's Prey, National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze, Dorm Daze Semester at Sea, and Transylmania, and had a small part in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man.
