Jeremy Lauzon (born April 28, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL). Lauzon was selected 52nd overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Playing career[edit]
The Boston Bruins drafted Lauzon 52nd overall in the second round in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. They acquired the pick used to select him that originally belonged to the Washington Capitals from the Calgary Flames as part of a piece that went to Boston when they traded Dougie Hamilton to the Flames on the same day as the draft.[1] He played major junior ice hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies from 2013 to 2017.[2] On November 12, 2015 the Boston Bruins signed Lauzon to a three-year entry-level contract.[3] He turned pro and joined the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the 2017–18 season where he tallied 1 goal and 6 assists for 7 points in 52 games.[4]

He won a silver medal in the 2017 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships with Canada where he posted 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points along with 2 Penalty minutes in 7 games.[5]
