Jesse Bogner (dʒɛsi bagnər)was born on September 17th, 1987. He is a young American author[1] who specializes in social commentary and writes political and spiritual memoir. Since 2013 he has been studying with the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah group in Petach Tikvah, Israel[2]. Books written by him include The Egotist and Tikkunim (corrections).
Early life[edit]
Jesse was born on 17th September, 1987, in New York, to Dawn Neway, who worked in advertising, and Seth Bogner, an investment banker. He is preceded by an older brother, Miles Bogner, who is a practicing doctor in Chicago, Illinois, and followed by a younger brother, Dean Bogner, who is currently attending high school in Florence, in Italy.
Jesse spent his childhood in Connecticut and attended The Browning School in New York City. Despite his illustrious family background, Jesse lacked direction and discipline as a child and teenager. He experimented with drugs and was more interested in counterculture and writing fiction than in completing his education. Having passed out of The Browning School, he attended Bard College, where he graduated with a degree in Creative Writing. 'Wild and unruly' is how Jesse describes his childhood and teenage years and a memory that he cherishes till this day is his parents’ unwavering love and their belief in his abilities.
‘Turning point’ in Jesse's life occurred in 2013 when he attended the World Kabbalah Convention in New York. It transformed his mindset, and caused him to move from the streets of New York to the Kabbalah group at Bnei Baruch.
Life as a kabbalist[edit]
Jesse's father had been following the spiritual path for about a decade. However, Jesse took to spiritualism in 2013 at the World Kabbalah Convention and transformed into a Kabbalist.
Writing career[edit]
Jesse's first book, The Egotist, was published in 2014. This literary work is a narrative wherein Jesse has made an effort to chronicle his journey from New York to the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Group, Petach Tikvah, in Israel. Next he wrote Tikkunim (corrections), and this book is a compilation of articles, musings and essays that reflect on erosion of spirituality in society. In this book Jesse has also explained his decision to convert into a Conservative[3] on the day that President Donald Trump took over the helm.
His third literary work, namely Gates of Impurity, which is slated for release in 2019, belongs to the genre of spiritual fiction or magical realism.
