Jodense Sol Valenciano, better known by his screen name Jodense Valenciano (born June 12, 1991 in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino actor in film & television, singer, commercial model and matinee idol. He grew up in Brgy. 79 Zone 10, Pasay City. He is a nephew of Gary Valenciano and cousin of Paolo, Gab and Kiana Valenciano. He has the relatives, fellow celebrities and politician including Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Anthony Pangilinan and Leo Martinez, his uncles and Gina Valenciano-Martinez, Sharon Cuneta, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, Felichi Pangilinan-Buizon and Candy Pangilinan, his aunties. He is of Spanish descent through his maternal grandfather. He is the eldest of two siblings. He will be currently under contract with Star Magic of ABS-CBN.

Early life[edit]

Jodense Valenciano was born at 9:45 AM as Jodense Sol Valenciano on June 12, 1991, Wednesday at Doña Marta Maternity Hospital (now known as Doña Marta Health Center) in Pasay City, it is a city in Metro Manila, the National Capital Region of the Philippines to Josefino Arizabal Valenciano (b. December 22, 1964) and Judith Hatoc Sol Valenciano (b. August 8, 1968). His father Jojo is a Bicolano from Naga City, Camarines Sur while his mother Judith is a Manileña from Paco, Manila then moved to also Pasay City. He is the grandson by paternal line of Tomas Valenciano and Josefina Arizabal Valenciano and by maternal line of Laurentino Sabida Sol (b. June 3, 1930 in Mahunig, Gasan, Marinduque-d. May 25, 2008 in Parañaque City) and Morena Enraca Hatoc Sol (b. September 29, 1939 in San Juan, Casiguran, Sorsogon). His maternal grandmother Morena is also a Bicolana. Morena's parents, David Hatoc, Sr. and Ines Enraca Hatoc and Laurentino's parents, Tomas Sol and Maria Sabida Sol. His parents were married in a church wedding on January 19, 1991, Saturday at San Rafael Parish Church in also Pasay City. At the age of 5, his parents Jojo and Judith are eventually separated last July 5, 1996, Friday. He has a younger sister named Janine Valenciano (b. June 18, 1993). He also has five half-siblings by his stepmother. His father Jojo Valenciano is a cousin of singer Gary Valenciano. He is of Spanish descent through his maternal grandfather. On May 7, 1999, he went to Baguio City, Benguet with his parents and younger sister to stay-in at Casa Amapola. On May 11, 2001, he usually returned to also Baguio City, Benguet to stay-in again at the same hotel with his mother, maternal grandmother and younger sister. During his childhood years, he usually went to Baclaran Church with his mother and younger sister to attend mass. On May 18, 2003, he and his family are usually to moved in their house at Grand Riverside Subdivision in Pasong Camachile I, General Trias City, Cavite early Sunday morning. His maternal great grandparents David Sr. and Ines are died and buried themselves at Manila Memorial Park located in Sucat, Parañaque City. At the age of 16, his maternal grandfather Laurentino Sabida Sol was died also at the age of 77 at 1:25 PM on May 25, 2008, Sunday at South Superhighway Medical Center in also Parañaque City by cerebral anoxia, intracerebral hemorrhage and hypertension, lied-in-state at Rizal Funeral Homes in also Cementina St. (now Antonio S. Arnaiz Avenue), Pasay City and buried him at St. John Memorial Park in Biga, Tanza, Cavite on May 31, 2008, Saturday. He is a devotee of the Black Nazarene. During his childhood years, he usually went to the Quiapo Church with his mother and younger sister Janine sometimes with his maternal grandmother Morena and maternal grandauntie Esperanza Enraca Hatoc Dimaano to seek guidance from the Black Nazarene.

Acting career[edit]

1990s–2000s: Teenage years[edit]

Jodense Valenciano started out in local showbiz as a child actor in 1992. He is better known for played the lead role in the 1992 Christmas Mini-TV series Baby Jesus: San Rafael Parish Church on IBC-13 under his late talent manager and paternal grandauntie Sarah Gomez Valenciano-Jovellanos according to People's Journal 1992 issue. He usually to attended the World Youth Day 1995 with Pope John Paul II in Manila, Philippines with his mother and younger sister Janine to appeared in the action film Banal (2008) under ComGuild Productions, Inc. with Christopher de Leon, Alfred Vargas, Paolo Contis, Paolo Paraiso, Alona Alegre and Cass Ponti in officially entry to the 2007 Metro Manila Film Festival in second batch on January 1, 2008, Tuesday. In 2006 to 2007, he appeared in UNTV 37 shows including KNC Show and Kaagapay with Ryan Ramos and ABS-CBN shows ASAP '07 and Homeboy in this episode Umagang Aminan with John Prats & Bea Alonzo, Jake Cuenca & Roxanne Guinoo and Kim Chiu & Gerald Anderson hosted by Boy Abunda. He sung Mr. Suave and Deep in my Heart at SM Molino in Bacoor City, Cavite last July 29, 2008, Tuesday. He also sung Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You and Mula Sa Puso at Music Hall at Holy Nazarene Christian School in Mulawin, Tanza, Cavite last October 11, 2008, Saturday. He also sung The Greatest Love of All at General Trias Convention Center in General Trias City, Cavite. On January 10-12, 2009, he usually to attended at Photographing and Painting in Autism Society of the Philippines with his mother together with Chad Huertas and Carlo Torero especially with his partner Princess "Ces" Young at Tom's World (inside SM Mall of Asia), Manila Zoo and Manila Ocean Park and drew and then painted the Mayon Volcano inside the same school. On February 9, 2009, he attended the Photo and Painting Exhibit at Cavite Provincial Capitol in Trece Martires City, Cavite.

2010s: Mature roles[edit]

In 2010, he tried to audition for the season 1 of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition, it was the reality competition aired on ABS-CBN but he didn't make it on the next round of auditions. On April 2, 2011, he sung Mr. Suave and The Greatest Love of All at SM City Rosario and he won as a second place. On December 19, 2012, he joined 2012 Mr. HNCS Campus Heartthrob at Holy Nazarene Christian School in Mulawin, Tanza, Cavite and sung Hinahanap-hanap Kita by Daniel Padilla. He won as 4th Runner-Up and People's Choice. In 2015, he usually to attended the workshop such as acting, singing, dancing and modelling at A Models Artist (now known as ADR Modelling Agency), a Pasay-based talent model agency under Aries dela Rosa. In 2016, he tried to join for the Maynila Idol in Maynila on GMA Network during the Maynila Grand Fans Day at Ninoy S. Aquino Parks & Wildlife Center (Ampi Theater) in Quezon City last November 27, 2016, Sunday where he joined along with John Paul Recirdo and Isabel Pablo but he didn't passed to the next round of Top 18 contestants.

On September 23, 2017, he tried again to audition for the Cinemalaya in CCP Complex, 4th Floor along with the actor Banjo Romero and his maternal cousin JE Millañes but he did make it on the next round of auditions for his role.

This 2018, he returns to show business under his contract with Star Magic of ABS-CBN in the upcoming youth oriented drama series Hang Out, where he will pick on the cast member as a matinee idol and leading man. He is the on-screen partner of Ivana Alawi in TV & Movie screen.

Soon the same year, Valenciano will debut on his first ever movie as a lead actor and part of Chito S. Roño's working movie entitled Lagim 1965 along with Ivana Alawi, Lotlot de Leon, Joey Marquez, Jacob Benedicto, Zeus Collins, Dominic Roco and Jazz Ocampo.

Later the same year, he will be add those movies such as Bal-Bal in Manila, Popoy En Jack: The Puliscredibles, Bully'Kang: Ang Mga Estudyante Naming Siga, Ang Lalakeng Nangarap Na Maging Vilma Santos and Shake, Rattle & Roll XVI.

His maternal cousin is JM Kurt Sol is a student at Santiago National High School in General Trias City, Cavite and his paternal cousin is Erica Valenciano is an Environmental Science student at Technological University of the Philippines in Ermita, Manila.

He studied in Nursery at UP-PGH in Padre Faura, Ermita, Manila, Kinder at San Rafael Parish Catholic School in Park Avenue, Pasay City shifted to Cuneta Elementary School in Madrigal Compound, Park Avenue, Pasay City, Prep 1 to 4 at Bernabe Elementary School in Bernabe St., Pasay City, Grade 1 at Pasay City SpEd Center in Park Avenue, Pasay City, Grade 2 at Villanueva Elementary School at the back of the same special school then shifted to the former special school, Grade 3 at Thomas Aquinas School in General Trias City, Cavite and Grade 4 at Pasong Camachile Elementary School in Pasong Camachile II, General Trias City, Cavite then shifted to Holy Nazarene Christian School in Soriano Hi-Way, Tanza, Cavite now moved to Mulawin, Tanza, Cavite since May 15, 2005, Sunday but retained to Grade 2 until his finished in 4th year high school on March 27, 2014, Thursday. His classmates were identical twins Jean & Joy Negosa, the commercial model during their senior year. He finished in two year course in Information Technology at Datamex Institute of Computer Technology in Bagumbayan, General Trias City, Cavite on March 28, 2016, Monday.

He also finished in vocational courses in Integrated Food Processing, Food and Beverage Services, Commercial Cooking, Bread and Pastry Production NCII and Cookery NCII at CSWD Training/Productivity Center in Brgy. Vibora, General Trias City, Cavite then moved to Brgy. Santiago, General Trias City, Cavite but he retrained Cookery NCII in the same vocational school in the same place.

Personal life[edit]

Jodense Valenciano is a nephew of Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, great-great grandnephew of Don Ismael Valenciano, first municipal town mayor of Banna, Ilocos Norte and Don Domingo Valenciano, first municipal town mayor of Camalig, Albay and cousin of Paolo, Gab and Kiana Valenciano. He is a relative of Sen. Chiz Escudero, husband of actress Heart Evangelista-Escudero, Eddie Garcia and the late Salvador Escudero because of this side of Hatoc and his cousin is Martin Escudero. His father Jojo Valenciano is a relative of Apple Arizabal-Eigenmann, wife of actor Gabby Eigenmann because of this side of Arizabal. He is an also relative of veteran actress Mila del Sol because of this side of Sol and his cousins are actor Orlando Sol and actress Stephanie Sol. He is also the uncle of Filipino child actor Jacob Briz of Calamba City, Laguna, who is won as a 2nd runner-up of That's My Boy, segmented of Eat Bulaga! in 2013 because of this side of Gomez and he relative of the late Sarah Gomez Valenciano-Jovellanos. In 2002, he had a family business such as popcorn, kikiam, fish ball, squid ball, french fries and many more. In 2009-2010, he had a family store such as school supplies, cellphone load, can goods and many more. In 2012, he worked sometimes as a window wiper inside the school at Fiat Lux Academe in General Trias City, Cavite. On July 6-8, 2016, he usually to stay-in to the condominium at La Verti Residences in Pasay City with his mother Judith Sol-Valenciano and younger sister Janine Valenciano. In 2016-2017, he had a job as a cashier, receptionist, cleaner, dishwasher and service crew at Chinihaw, his younger sister Janine's former restaurant located at Grand Riverside Subdivision in Pasong Camachile I, General Trias City, Cavite. This 2018, he will be working as a tombstone maker at Manny Marble Works and Metal Craft located at 2243 Dimasalang St., Sta. Cruz, Manila before he becoming famous as an actor and executive chef.

There is a barangay named after his great-great granduncle Don Ismael Valenciano, first municipal town mayor of Banna, Ilocos Norte with the same surname located in the same place called Brgy. Valenciano (Poblacion).
