John Rey Malto is a Filipino talent manager, talent scout, talent coordinator, and production supervisor in the Philippine entertainment industry.[1]
Early life and education
Malto is from La Union, Philippines. He studied at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. [2] Malto worked while studying.[2]
Career
Malto began working with models and beauty pageant participants in 2017. His work later expanded into talent scouting, coordination, artist development, and management in the Philippine entertainment industry.[3]
In 2018, Malto became director of the Philippine division of an international modeling competition.[3]
He has worked as a talent coordinator and manager for performers who appeared in Philippine television programs and competitions, including Tawag ng Tanghalan, The Voice Kids, It's Showtime, Idol Philippines, and Goin' Bulilit.[4] Malto also served as a talent scout for Viva Entertainment.[3][5]
Film and television production
Malto has worked in television and film production, including research, talent coordination, and casting.[4]
Songwriting
Malto wrote the song "Pangako Mo", which was performed by singer Joice Espinoza. [3]
