Jon Erlichman (born May 28, 1978) is a journalist with BNN Bloomberg.[1] He is co-host of "Business Day AM", which airs between 8-11am Eastern Time. Erlichman is also a correspondent and anchor with the CTV National News. He appears on CTV's "Your Morning” and hosts the series “Sidelines,” which profiles entrepreneurial celebrities.[2]

Erlichman was New York Bureau Chief for BNN. He then worked for Bloomberg Television in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. He also worked for Fortune, ABC News and created Parachute TV on Twitter’s live-streaming service Periscope.[3]

Erlichman has interviewed entrepreneurs, politicians and celebrities, including Mark Zuckerberg, Kobe Bryant and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.[1] He was first to report details of President Trump and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s initial meeting at the White House.[4]

Erlichman graduated from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario.[5]

Career[edit]

Erlichman began his career with BNN when it launched in 1999, known then as ROBTv. He joined Bloomberg in 2008, first based in New York. In 2011, he moved to San Francisco, where he reported on the death of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and Facebook’s IPO.[6] He also covered events like the Allen & Company conference in Sun Valley, Idaho [7] and broke news such as Satya Nadella becoming CEO of Microsoft.[8]

Erlichman moved to Los Angeles, as part of the expansion of Bloomberg TV in 2013.[9] In 2014, he became a correspondent with ABC News based in Los Angeles, covering stories such as the Ebola outbreak.[10]

In 2015, he co-founded Parachute TV, the first live-streaming TV channel on Periscope.[11] Parachute teamed up with partners such as the Weather Channel [12] and the Daytime Emmy Awards.[13]

Erlichman has also moderated events like the Hollywood Radio and Television Society’s State of the Industry luncheon.[14]

In 2015, AdWeek named him one of the newest live streaming stars every brand should know about.[15]

Erlichman’s Parachute TV won Digital Entertainment World’s startup competition in 2015.[16]

In 2013, Business Insider named him one of “The 100 Tech People You Have To Follow on Twitter.” [17]

He lives in Toronto with his wife Caroline and two daughters.[1]
