Jonathan “Jon” Bier is a Canadian-born entrepreneur, communications strategist and the founder and chief executive of Jack Taylor, an independent full-service public relations and communications agency.[1] He has launched and invested in businesses across spirits, hospitality/tourism and media, and hosts the podcast One Day with Jon Bier.[2]

Early life and education

Bier holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in philosophy from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Bond University in Queensland, Australia. He is a bar-admitted, non-practising attorney and has served as an adjunct professor of marketing at New York University.

Career

In 2010 Bier founded Jack Taylor, an independent brand and communications agency headquartered in Brooklyn that advises companies in health & wellness, consumer lifestyle, technology and related sectors.[3] Earlier in his career he worked in public relations and marketing roles, including a senior publicist role at SweeneyVesty.[4][4]

Bier is co-founder/co-owner of Little Wolf Whiskey (operating under Three Kings Spirits), a Brooklyn-based spirits venture that released Little Wolf Whiskey in the mid-2010s.[5]

In 2018 Bier joined a group of investors that purchased Cerro Gordo, a 19th-century silver-mining ghost town in the Inyo Mountains of California.[6][6]

In October 2020 Bier was announced as a member of the advisory board of Mind Cure Health Inc.[7]

Jon Bier also hosts a podcast on Entrepreneur, One Day with Jon Bier.[8]

Personal life

Bier is married to Kimberly Snyder, a New York Times-bestselling author and founder of the lifestyle brand Solluna; the couple have two children and have appeared together on wellness and lifestyle programs.[9]
