Jordan Harbinger is an American lawyer and Sirius XM radio talk show host. He is best known for being the founder and former host of the psychology and self-help podcast The Art of Charm (He is now the host of his own podcast named The Jordan Harbinger Show).[1][2][3][4]
Harbinger was born and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan.[2] He received his undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of Michigan.[3] While attending graduate school, he started his own podcast on the topics of social dynamics and social engineering, which attracted thousands of listeners every week.[citation needed]
Upon graduating in 2006, Harbinger initially began working as a financial attorney on Wall Street.[5] After leaving the firm a year later, he began producing podcast content full-time.[3]
In 2013 Harbinger demonstrated at DEF CON how easily a person can be connected with someone who may not be what they claim to be, based on the Robin Sage experiment of 2010.[6]
Harbinger co-founded The Art of Charm podcast in 2006. In 2007, Sirius XM offered Harbinger a position as a talk show host for his program on its online and satellite radio platforms.[7] The show has featured guests including Shaquille O'Neal, Mike Rowe, Russell Brand, Tony Hawk, Tim Ferriss, Gary Vaynerchuk, Seth Godin, and Carol Dweck.[8] As of November 2017 it has published over 916 episodes.[8][9][10][11] The Art of Charm podcast is produced in San Francisco.[12]
Harbinger has since left The Art of Charm to host The Jordan Harbinger Show.
Jordan also writes for a number of online outlets, including Inc.[13], Order of Man[14], Aspiring Gentleman[15], Business Insider[16], and Entrepreneur[17].
Harbinger currently lives in San Jose, California.
