Jordan Peddle (born 5 March 1991) is a Canadian ice hockey player who plays as an import Centre for the CBR Brave in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL).
Playing career[edit]
Club career[edit]
Peddle played extensive junior hockey in Canada in predominantly the Western Hockey League (WHL).[1] Peddle starting his career with the Notre Dame Hounds but soon Jordan moved to the Swift Current Broncos in the WHL where Jordan spent three and a part seasons playing 198 games and participating in two play-off campaigns.[1]
4 October 2011, Jorden Peddle was traded to the Edmonton Oil Kings from Swift Current Broncos with goaltender Jon Groenheyde heading in the other direction. Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green was excited to add depth to the team’s attacking line with Peddle’s versatility of being able to be played in centre or on the wing a major asset for the club.[2]
13 May 2012, Peddle won his first WHL Championship when the Oil Kings beat Portland Winterhawks in game 7 of the WHL Championship Series 4-1 in front of a record 12,514 crowd at Rexall Place. It was the first time Queen’s 1977 hit ‘We are the Champions’ was played at the Rexall Palace in 24 years.[3][4] Peddle played in that final game of the series and got one point from an assist.[5] Overall Jordan played 20 matches in the play-offs scoring 6 goals and contributing 7 assists for a total of 13 points.[6]
The following season Peddle moved to the University of Saskatchewan and linked up with the university side Saskatchewan Huskies in the CIS League after the university recruited the youngster with a scholarship following his successful season with the Oil Kings.[7][8] Jordan played twenty regular season matches and six play-off matches for the Huskies in his first year at university contributing a total of six points with three goals and three assists.[1]
25 October 2013, Peddle left Canada and moved to the US and signed for the Mississippi Surge in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).[1] Jordan was given the number 15 jersey and played a full season (2013/14) for the Surge scoring 28 points in regular season from 56 matches and participating in the Surge’s two play-off games. Jordan scored 10 goals and assisted a further 18 in his first professional season, the second highest point scorer for the team.[9]
24 September 2014, Peddle began his sophomore year of professional hockey signing with the Columbus Cottonmouths for their training camp roster after the Mississippi Surge folded operations following the conclusion of the 2013/14 season.[10]
20 June 2015, Peddle signs with the CBR Brave in the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) as a replacement import centre for the early departing Scott Pitt who was heading back to Scotland for pre-season training before the start of the new EIHL season with the Braehead Clan.[11]
On the same day, 20 June 2015, Jordan Peddle made his CBR Brave debut at home at the Brave Cave in front of a large crowd when the Brave took on the Sydney Bears. The match was in fact a Bears home game but before the start of the 2015 AIHL season the Bears announced they would be playing one of their home matches against the Brave in Canberra rather than Penrith.[12] The Sydney Bears won the match 4-3 after coming from 3-1 behind with three goals in the third period.[13]

Peddle was born on 5 March 1991.[1] Jorden studied Arts and Science at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
