Joshua Baker (Born November 1, 1991), known professionally as BuzyBaker, is an American media personality, host, producer, and influencer.[1] He is a host for The Shade Room, media company. He has interviewed a list of notable celebrities from City Girls, O.T. Genasis, Wiz Khalifa, Boosie, and more.[2]

In 2012, Baker started a radio show called Lesbake Radio while attending Towson University.[3][4] He previously did Interviews for HotNewHipHop,[5] Karmaloop TV, and Dash Radio.[6][7] He also created content for Beats by Dre in 2015 to help their social media platforms. In 2018 Baker started conducting interviews via Instagram Live with Dash Radio.[8]

Baker was born to Sharon Baker and Eugene Dent, both African American on November 1 1991 in Washington DC. and grew up in Charles and Prince George’s County. As a teenager, Baker always had a passion for music at a young age. Baker attended Towson University and graduated in 2012.[3]

Career[edit]

Baker grew up on Go-Go music and started hosting a list of events as a teenager.[9] In 2012, Baker figured out Towson University had a radio station XTSR and decided to make a show called LesBake with his co-host Celeste and Jasmine.[10][11]

Baker started interviewing artists for his show and in 2014 a publication called HotNewHipHop.com picked up his interview with Ty Dolla Sign.[12][13] Being a fan of the publication, Baker decided to reach out and inquire about being a correspondent and HotNewHipHop agreed.[14] Baker's first interview was with Migos, and following up having virtual interviews for HotNewHipHop.com.[15][16][17]

In 2017, Baker left HotNewHipHop to continue being his brand and started doing freelance work for Beats by Dre and Dash Radio.[18]

Baker started working with The Shade Room June 2020, conducting Instagram Live Interviews and now is the executive producer/host of Keep it 100 a series where celebrities go shopping for an outfit within a certain budget.[19]
