Jose Rodrigo Arango Suaza is a Colombian singer. Born in Bogotá and raised in Cali, he began performing in school demonstrating singing and dancing abilities.

Career[edit]

2006-2009: Beginnings and first albums[edit]

Jossar released his first studio album Dreaming of You in mid-2007, which received positive comments, commending his vocal capacity.

In 2008, he released his second studio album I Could Fall in Love which received mixed commentaries, as they felt that the album's lyrics were very explicit for a teen artist; however, managed to generate greater public expectation and varied age.

His third studio album Breakout was released in October 2008 and was very popular among the public, positioning him as one of the revelation artists of the moment with only 15 years old.

In September 2009, he entered the Tejano music market releasing his fifth studio album titled Selena Tribute in memory of the slain Tejano singer Selena. This album had great acceptance among Latino audiences and may generate two nominations for the Tejano Music Awards, the only Colombian artist in the list of nominees.

2010-2014: Artistic hiatus and new projects[edit]

In late 2009 after the release of his fifth studio album, Jossar decided to rest in his race to finish his high school and enter college. During this time, he took his first steps as an entrepreneur to create the artistic representation company World Wide Music Home with which began a new stage in his career and managed to become known in his country.

2015: Return to the scene and new album[edit]

After the great success as an entrepreneur, Jossar decided to resume his career in the hands of Colombian singer and producer Mauricio Páez. Under the production of Mauricio, Jossar released his new single «Gangsta», cover song originally performed by Cuban-American singer-songwriter Kat Dahlia, off her debut studio album My Garden.
