Controversy[edit]

Balcony Party/Social Media Backlash[edit]

On April 18, 2020 international DJ David Guetta performed a live DJ set on the pool deck of the Icon Brickell condominium building, to raise funds for COVID-19 relief, in collaboration with Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The DJ has pledged to match every dollar raised. [3] Due to the DJ's popularity, hundreds of Miami residents took to the streets surrounding the Icon Brickell, violating social distancing rules put in place to reduce exposure and spread of COVID-19. [4]

On April 20, 2020, Patron publicly apologized saying to the Miami New Times that he understood that they were not following the proper rules of social distancing. [5] [6]
