The Political Assistant is the subordinate officer of the deputy commissioner. In those days, the schools in this area were under administration of a Political Assistant. When the political assistant was on an annual visit to the area from the Dera Ghazi Khan office, he used to hold competition of shooing between his Border Military Police soldiers and the local Baloch people. Distinguished audience took the name of Juma Khan because no one could run with a horse at night in the mountainous journey except him. Meanwhile, Jumma Khan prayed in the mosque in front of the post and slept there for rest. Then at time of breakfast, the Political Assistant said: Call Jumma Khan on to me. Jumma Khan was summoned. The Political Assistant told Jumma Khan that you have led me with an excellent responsibility. Now tell me, what reward should I give you? Will you work in BMP?

Jumma Khan said: No thanks.

Then he said: I will allot some land in your name in Rajanpur district.

Jumma Khan said: No sir, my own land is enough for my livelihood.

Then he said: Well, then you tell me, what reward should I give you?

Jumma Khan said: Sir, at night when I was running with your horse, I thought in my mind that you are neither stronger than me nor faster in running. Then what is the reason that you are riding horse and I am running on foot? I thought it was because of education. It was the glory of education. If you can reward me, start a primary school in my village. Maybe, at some my children will be able to read and write.

The Political Assistant took out his diary. He wrote the name of Jumma Khan's village and then said that inshaAllah a teacher will reach soon in your village.
