KOI-1686.01[2] is a Kepler object of interest (KOI) false positive,[5] approximately 1033.8 light years from Earth.
KOI-1686.01 would have been super-Earth with a radius 1.33 times that of Earth. KOI-1686.01 would have orbited the dim KOI-1686,[2] within its habitable zone,[4] a zone where liquid water can exist on the surface of a planet. KOI-1686.01 would have had an Earth Similarity Index (ESI) of 0.89,[4] making it the most habitable KOI.[6]
The host star KOI-1686 (KIC 6149553, 2MASS J19540173+4128445) is a somewhat cooler star than the Sun.[2]
