Kal Male
Kal Male is a hill in India. It is located in the Dakshina Kannada district of the State of Karnataka, in the southern part of India, 1,800 km south of New Delhi, the capital of India. Kal Male is situated at an altitude of 222 meters above sea level,[lower-alpha 1] or 88 meters above the surrounding terrain.[lower-alpha 2] It is about 1.3 kilometers wide at its base.[lower-alpha 3] The prominence is 154m/505ft
The land around Kal Male is mostly flat, but in the southwest it is hilly.[lower-alpha 4] The highest point in the area has an elevation of 269 meters and is 2.8 km north of Kal Male.[lower-alpha 5] There are about 591 people per square kilometer around Kal Male.[2] The nearest major town is Puttūr, which is 11.9 km east of Kal Male. Kal Male is the most populated locality in the area.[3] In the region around Kal Male, hills are common.[lower-alpha 6]
The region is also home to various animals, including monkeys, peacocks, wild boars, mongoose, Elephants, and several species of snakes and birds.
The average temperature is 25 °C. The warmest month is April, at 28 °C, and the coolest is July, at 20 °C.[5] The average annual rainfall is 3,703 millimeters. The wettest month is July, with 1,176 millimeters of rain, and the driest is January, with 2 millimeters.[6]
