Kanlykian language
Kanlykian is an extinct Turkic language mainly spoken in Mongolia. It belongs to the Karluk branch of Turkic languages. It has 40 million speakers of the language.

It has mutual intelligibility between Uzbek and Kyrgyz languages. It has been influenced by Mongolian throughout its history. Some consider it a dialect of the Tuvan language of Russia.
Writing System
The Kanlykian language uses both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. The Mongolian government uses the Mongolian-based Cyrillic Alphabet.

Classified as an extinct language
The last native speaker died in 1345. Now there are 15 speakers. UNESCO classified it as "Critically Endangered" and at risk of extinction.
