Karamora (Russian: Карамора) is a 2021 Russian vampire film directed by Danila Kozlovsky who also stars alongside Darya Balabanova, Filipp Yankovsky, and Andrey Smolyakov.
Plot[edit]
The film takes place at the beginning of the 20th century. The European authorities are hiding their real state of affairs. The young anarchist Karamora gathers like-minded people and challenges the nobility with the hope of avenging his beloved, whom he lost.[1]

Production[edit]
This is the third collaboration between Danila Kozlovsky and Andrey Smolyakov after the two also worked together on the films Viking (2016) and Coach (2018), produced by Danila Kozlovsky's studio DK Entertainment. The film was produced by TNT Premier Studios and Central Partnership. The film tells the alternative history of the Russian state in the early 20th century. The anarchist Karamora gets access to information about the life of the imperial family. It turns out that for three hundred years the dynasty was secured by a secret vampire order.
Originally this was intended to be a series designed to mount for broadcast on the TV-3 channel. Principal photography began in 2019 and took place in Georgia until February 2020. In October 2020, completion filming was renewed in Moscow, and in November moved to Saint Petersburg, where it lasted until December 2020.[2]
