Book is written in 15 chapters and covers with the origins of gurjars and pratihars, struggles and victory of Naag bhatt I, Samrat Kakkuk, Samrat Devraj, Samrat Vatsraj, Samrat Naag Bhatt II, Samrat Rambhadra, Samrat Mihir Bhoj I Samrat Mahendrapal I , Samrat Bhoj II and Samrat Mahipal. The central theme of the book is the history of Samrat Mihir Bhoj and Analysis of his life with strong references.[1]

Historical Facts[edit]

Book revealed many important facts about India History of AD 730 to AD 955.

1. According to Book, Gurjars and Pratihars were not foreigners, they purely belonged from India. Their forefather was Brahman Samrat Harish Chandra and his Kshatriya wife. They were called Pratihar because they protected India from Arab Muslims attacks. Pratihar dynasty was established by Naag Bhatt I and He became the ruler of Bhinmal which was the capital of Gurjars. So this dynesty were called Gurjar Pratihar Vansh. When He became ruler of Kannauj, they were called Pratihars.[3]

2. Samrat Mihir Bhoj spreaded the fame of powerful India in complete Asia. He was most powerful and Great ruler of ninth century. His kingdom, personality, system and religional freedom for the people were best and similar to Gupt Chakravarti Samrat.[4]

3. Most Arabic Muslim writers visited India during the reign of Samrat Mihir Bhoj and propagated the facts about Indian civilization, spiritual philosophical knowledge science, Ayurved and universal Samaras Jeevan Darshan to Greece, Europe and whole Arab.

4. Book covered the activities of pratihar kings from 730 to 955 AD. When Arab turq muslim invadors comes to india after winning many countries and try to convert whole humanism into islam by keeping sword in one hand and quraan in one hand. No country is able to stand against them. Pratihar Samrat secured north western border at that time. The power of mihir bhoj spreaded in the way that they couldn't find safe place.[5][6]

Samrat Mihir Bhoj is precisely discussed or ignored in the books related to Indian History by most of the historian and writers. This is noted as first book written on Samrat Mihir Bhoj.[7]

According to book review published in Rajasthan Patrika[8], Vijay Nahar discovered the fact in this book that "Period which was referred to as ANDHKAR YUG by historians. But the eye opening fact is that this was one of the most advanced ages with a prosperous, rich, economical, cultural and literary advancement of India. The glories of Indians was seen and admired by the world.As a result it was referred to as the SONE KI CHIRIYA. Another term that was bestowed on it was VISHV GURU or the GLOBAL TEACHER. India also witnessed a more than one talented and mighty emperors in this period who organized entire northern India and maintained the situation that Muslim invaders threatened and couldn't find a place for their safety". Author's language style is fluid and effective. Every incident has been analyzed with substantial evidence. This book will be prove d very useful for students, lecturers and readers of history. There is clear evidence to deny that the period from 647 to 1200 AD was a dark age.[9] Book is appreciated by National President of Akhil Bhartiya Veer Gurjar Mahasabha Mr. Anurag Gurjar and President of Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Commission Mr. Iswar Sharan Vishwkarma[10] Prof. Devaram Johnson says in the review that book tries to solve the various questions related to dark ages of indian history and Gurjar Pratihar dynasty. This book is the third book of Vijay Nahar's book series on Indian history from 467 AD to 1200 AD (Period is popularly known as Dark Ages of Indian History). The preceding books on this series are "Sheeladitya Samrat Harshvardhana Evam Unka Yug"[12], "Samrat Yashovarman"[13] and the following books are "Samrat Bhoj Parmar"[14], "Prarambhik Islamic Aakramano Ka Bhartiya Pratirodh" and "Yugpurush Bapparawal".[15] Author has been felicitated by Sundar Singh Bhandari Trust, Udaipur for his books on Indian History.[16][17]
