Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector-47, Chandigarh is a Senior Secondary School (Std 1–12) affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and functions under the purview of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous government body.[3]
Installation of MiG-21 aircraft[edit]
The school has a decommissioned MiG-21 aircraft installed in the institution's forecourt. The MiG-21 aircraft was presented to the school by the Indian Air Force in September 2021.[4] Air Chief RKS Bhadauria visited the school on this occasion.[5]
