Kenneth K. Hansraj is an American spinal and orthopedic surgeon and author based in New York.[1][2]
Education and training
He was inspired by the surgeons Arisan Ergin and Randall Griepp at the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York at the age of 16 while observing them in operating theaters. He earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia in 1987 after doing his graduate studies in biological sciences at Columbia University, New York. He has an undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey. He selected spinal surgery as a sub-specialization in orthopedic surgery.[3]
He completed his general surgery and orthopedic surgery residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital and King/Drew Medical Center, at the same time he completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Biomechanics at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He held a Fellowship at the California Center for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and a Fellowship in Spinal and Scoliosis Surgery at The Hospital for Special Surgery, New York.[3]
Career
In 2014, Hansraj performed a study on the connection between a person's neck posture and pressure on the cervical spine.
