Kerala troll community
Kerala troll community[1] is a Internet trolling Malayali community[2][3][4] (Kerala trollers, kerala meme makers[5][6], Kerala cartoonists[7]) that has become increasingly prevalent in the state of Kerala, India. This phenomenon is particularly prominent in the realms of politics, cinema, cricket, and association football.[8] and regional issues.[9] Trolls often employ memes to spread their messages across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.[10] Malayalee and sometimes known by the demonym Keralite, a digital way of using social media to criticize democratically generally used to the government, political parties in India, religious leaders, political leaders, cricket players, news channels, political organizations and filmmakers.[11][clarification needed]

The Kerala troll community is a very popular community in India[12] and internationally[13][14][15][16]. This community has been able to have a huge troll impact in Kerala and India. Troll Memes started gaining popularity in Kerala from 2012–2013[17], initially in the form of jokes. Daily life trolls shared troll memes through social media[18][19]. started doing it, then slowly it got into politics, cinema, religious issues[20], in 2023 the troll had started focusing more on politics, election[21], cricket and football[22][23]. The Kerala troll community has been able to make a huge impact on the politics[24] of Kerala and has trolled and protested against the central government's anti-people stance[25].

Kerala Troll community always have a satirical culture and a history of irreverence, especially to people in positions of power and fame . Starting from Kunchan Nambiar,[26] who arguably is the first (and greatest) Malayalam troll, Modern Troll (Internet meme trolls) originated in Kerala in 2015[27] With the advent of Facebook social media in India in 2006, troll jokes started being shared and troll groups became active in Kerala, Meme trolls were created for the first time in 2014-2015[28] and shared through troll Facebook groups[29], then trolls started interfering with social issues in Kerala.[30]

The Kerala troll community has given birth to new words in Kerala, some troll events have gone viral and then its use of new words has given rise to new words. The main words is, 'Kummanadi'[38], 'OMKV' & 'Kiduve'(Kidu)[39]
