Khushali Kumar (born 19 December 1982) is a former fashion designer turned actress. She was born in New Delhi to late Gulshan Kumar, the founder of the T-Series and his wife Sudesh Kumari. Her brother is film producer Bhushan Kumar. Her younger sister is singer Tulsi Kumar.

She married Nishant Arora, the son of Gurnam Arora, managing director of Satnam Overseas, famous for its Kohinoor brand of rice in 2004.[1][2] They have since divorced.

She holds directorships in parent company of T-series, as well as its' Stagework Academy.[3][4]

Fashion (2005-2015)[edit]

Fashion designing career[edit]

Alumni of National Institute of Fashion (NIFT) Delhi, Khushali launched her luxury label "Reve by Khushali Kumar" in 2005. In 2008 she showcased her evening wear range at London Fashion Week, Pret-a-Porter Paris and NY's Fashion Coterie.[5][6]

Shakira wore her design at the premiere of AXN's The Voice[7][8] and Justin Bieber in the video ‘Wait for a Minute’.[7][8]

Lakme Fashion Week 2012 is the last known public outing of the label when Dia Mirza walked the ramp.[9][10] Present status is unknown.

Khushali will make her acting debut in T-Series produced R. Madhavan-starrer 'Dahi Cheeni' where she plays a lawyer.[11]

T-Series, is also producing her second movie 'Dedh Bigha Zameen'[12] with Pratik Gandhi as the lead[13][14]

Also Announced another movie name 'Ghudchadi'[15] as lead role along with Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon.[16][17][18]

Since 2015, Khushali has starred in several music videos produced by T-Series including songs such as "Manu Ishq Da"[19] in 2015, Mere Papa[20] in 2016, Highway Star[21] and Ik Yaad Purani[22] in 2017, Raat Kamaal Hai[23] in 2018, Pehle Pyaar Ka Pehla Gham[24] and Khushi Jab Bhi Teri[25] in 2021, Dhokha[26] in 2022.

Personal life[edit]

Khushali considers her late father Gulshan Kumar as her inspiration.[27] After the murder of her father, her family moved back to Delhi where she finished her studies. In November 2004, Khushali married Nishant Arora of Kohinoor.[1] Post divorce, she had a serious relationship with fashion entrepreneur Ayush Mehra.

Khushali's presently divides her time between Mumbai and Delhi.
